We at Barracuda are at the forefront of protecting our customers from email-borne threats and data leaks. As an Analyst you will be having an opportunity to work with a core team of Threat Analysts who are specialized in stopping malicious traffic and content from reaching our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse threat intelligence data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, and recommend updates to threat detection systems.
- Prepare and deliver basic analytical reports under guidance.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance and refine threat definitions using inputs from the threat data platform.
- Handle and resolve customer cases related to potential threats, ensuring timely and accurate solutions.
- Investigate customer-reported issues, including email security concerns, suspicious activities, and potential breaches, providing actionable resolutions.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to convey technical details in a concise manner.
- Identify sophisticated attacks, analyse their behaviour, and write blog articles about them.
- Work collaboratively within the team, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.
- Flexible to work in shift based work schedule.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of email-based threats such as Spam, Phishing, Scams, and Spear Phishing.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts and email protocols such as SMTP, DNS and HTTP
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Intermediate programming proficiency in Shell scripting, and Python.
- Experience in SQL and Regular Expressions.
- Good understanding of GitHub repositories, including version control, branching, and collaboration workflows.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and address straightforward technical issues.
- Exposure to machine learning concepts is a plus.
